- A Little Bit About Me -
My name's Raymond Ma, and I'm a senior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
currently finishing a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. I
was originally born in Beijing, but I've lived in Ohio and Alabama and currently call
Plano, Texas home. Despite standing 5'7" (with the right pair of shoes), I'm an avid
basketball fan who can't refuse a pick-up game, and I'll still insist that the Dallas
Mavericks were cheated out of the NBA title in 2006.
- A Little Bit About Where I Live -
For the past four years, I've spent most of the year in Boston while attending MIT. I live
at 530 Beacon St, otherwise known as Phi Kappa Sigma, or Skullhouse, with a fairly ridiculous
house full of people. Despite being from Texas, I don't particularly mind the cold, and
I'd argue that shorts and t-shirts are perfectly acceptable attire in December and January.
- A Little Bit About What I Do -
My interests primarily involve robotics, as I've tried to mainly take courses that combine
mechanical engineering and computer science for the past couple of years. Having grown up
during the Battlebots craze at the beginning of the millenium, I'm usually easily entertained
by sparks, the smell of burning solder, and shiny rotating objects.
Aside from that, I also like dabbling in web projects on the side, having worked for a couple
of different web startups the past couple of years. I also consistently daydream about the
day that I'll actually get off my butt and make WikiNotes the runaway web phenomenon that
my overactive imagination knows it can be.
